Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, APC007783 • National Certified Counselor, 1548212 • M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Mercer University • M.A. in French, Emory University • B.A. in French and Public Policy Studies, Duke University I am currently working under the supervision of Brenda Romanchik, LCSW, ACSW
I enjoy working with adults and children, individually or in groups. I am experienced working with clients with the mood disorders of depression and anxiety, and with those experiencing anger or troubles with interpersonal communication. I encourage the use of healthy coping skills and mindfulness practices in all my clients. I also provide family counseling when that approach works best for parents and children.
Using the expressive arts can be a beneficial means to encourage children and help them make concrete the desired therapeutic goals. I use art, books, and activities to engage children.
I have four children and enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and friends. I appreciate spending time making pottery, running, hiking outdoors, traveling, reading, and cooking.
